Satellite TV provider Dish Network Corp has unveiled a new digital video recorder on Thursday that will allow people watch their favourite television shows on any Internet-enabled device. Dish Network revealed the high-definition DVR embedded with Slingbox technology at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Integrating the Slingbox technology into Dish Network’s DVR increases the options that subscribers have to control and watch programming, Dish Network Chief Executive Charlie Ergen said in a statement. In addition to TV sets, people can watch their recorded TV programmes and sports events on their desktops at home, their laptops on the road, their smartphones, iPhones, Blackberry and more, Ergen said.
